Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To recover scaly graphite with high efficiency by subjecting collected dust to air elutriation, screening, and air elutriation again. CONSTITUTION:Collected dust of steel production charged from a feeding port 3 of an air elutriation apparatus to a feed pipe 2 of the dust is sucked through a filter 5 with a fan 4 and air-elutriated utilizing the difference of settling velocity and inertia of the particles of the dust in the air depending on the size and shape of the particles, and classified to easily scattered dust B (exhausted from No.8-10 chute), hardly scattered dust A (exhausted from No.1 chute), and intermediate dust C. Only, dust B and A having high vein graphite content are recovered. The amt. of the recovered dust amounts to about 1/3 of the total dust, resulting very high efficiency.
