FRONT AND REAR WHEEL STEERING SYSTEM FOR CAR

PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution and compact the construction by coupling a front steering with a rear power steering through a plurality of control cables which are coupled with a control beam to be controlled on the basis of the car speed. CONSTITUTION:A control beam 13 swung in accordance with steering of the front wheels 75, 76, on the left and right, given through a front steering 11 is equipped with an electric actuator 16 which is to reciprocate a phase changeover rack. A pair of movable rail sliders 23, 24 are furnished, which are fitted to a pair of mating moving rails 21, 22 and coupled with a mating phase changeover rack rotatably. Further a pair of control cables 25, 26 are furnished, whose one ends are connected to a pair of mating fixed rail sliders 19, 20 and the other ends with a rear power steering 12. A control unit 29 is installed to control an electric actuator 16 on the basis of detection signals given by a car speed sensor 66.
