Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To shorten the stabilization time by protruding a lamp supporting bar from a position where the maximum temperature is attained during the lighting on an electrodeless discharge lamp arranged in a microwave cavity and blowing the cooling air to it. CONSTITUTION:A lamp supporting bar 10 is protruded at a position where the maximum temperature is attained during the lighting on an electrodeless discharge lamp 9 arranged in a microwave cavity, the coiling air is blown to the protrusion section of this lamp supporting bar 10. The lamp supporting bar 10 acts as a radiating fin during the lighting of the electrodeless discharge lamp 9 to reduce the heat of the maximum temperature section, it cools the protrusion section of the lamp supporting bar 10 earlier than other portions after the lamp is turned off, thus the filler material (additive) in the lamp is condensed at this portion. The condensation portion of the additive is the position where the maximum temperature is attained, thus the additive is quickly evaporated at the time of re-lighting. The stabilization time can be thereby shortened.
