COSMETIC

PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic capable of exhibiting excellent effects on humectation and beautification of the skin, etc., by blending active ingredients of MATSUDAKE mushroom mycelia with a cosmetic base. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic, such as toilet water, cream, milky lotion or pack, preferably the milky lotion, capable of exhibiting excellent skin beautifying effects and obtained by blending active ingredients of MATSUDAKE mushroom mycelia with a cosmetic base according to a conventional method. Furthermore, the MATSUDAKE mushroom may be cultivated in a specific culture medium consisting essentially of an extract solution of young pine leaves. In using the extract of the MATSUDAKE mushroom mycelia as the cosmetic, the extract is blended with stearic acid, vaseline, glycerol, liquid paraffiny etc., to provide a product, such as the milky lotion or cream. In the case of an aqueous extract, it is directly used without drying or a suitable additive, e.g., vegetable oil, emulsifying agent or perfume, may be added to afford the product for use.
