Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To improve a sound insulation and a light receiving characteristic and prevent an indoor floor from being stained by a method wherein a lateral indoor unit and a longitudinal outdoor unit are connected in an L-form, an I-shape evaporator extending over a blowing port and a suction port of U-shape aeration passage is arranged. CONSTITUTION:Since a lateral indoor unit 2 of cubic form is connected in an L-shape to an upper end of a longitudinal outdoor unit 3, a connecting relation between an indoor unit 2 and an outdoor unit 3 may not be required to be adjusted in response to a variation in thickness of a window 31 or a wall 30 where an air conditioner is to be installed. An evaporator 14 is arranged in an I-form over both a blowing port and a suction port of a U-shaped aeration passage. Accordingly, noise generated from a part near an indoor blower 11 is shielded by an evaporator 14, the height of an indoor unit 2 is kept lower than that of installation in one aeration passage, a light receiving characteristic and an indoor living comfortable feeling can be improved and at the same time a discharging pump for lifting the drain water accumulated at a lower surface of the evaporator 14 of the room is not required. A possibility of the indoor floor staining area caused by a stopped condition of the discharging pump is eliminated. In addition, an outer wall 30 at a lower part of an installed window 31 may act as a sound shielding wall against a noise of an outdoor area as well as a sound of a compressor 24, resulting in that it may provide a superior sound shielding characteristic. |
