Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To detect the position of a lens in a non-contact state and to reduce the cost of the title detector by providing the detector with magnetic pattern parts formed on the circumference of a focus ring and a zoom ring and two strings of magnetosensitive means arranged oppositely to the magnetic pattern parts to sense magnetic force from the magnetic pattern parts. CONSTITUTION:The detector is provided with two strings of magnetic pattern parts 15a, 15b, 16a, 16b arranged on the circumference of the focus ring 11 and the zoom ring 12 and two strings of magnetosensitive elements 17a, 17b, 18a, 18b arranged oppositely to the magnetic pattern parts to sense magnetic force from the magnetic pattern parts. Thereby, the position of the lens can be magnetically detected in a non-contact state. Since the elements 15a, 15b, 16a, 16b are extremely small and the magnetic pattern parts can be directly magnetized or applied to the focus ring 11 or the zoom ring 12, the number of parts and the number of assembling processes can be reduced.
