Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To input effective data and to improve the accuracy of ultrasonic flaw detection by scanning an ultrasonic probe on a body to be inspected and performing the ultrasonic flaw detection at respective data input positions on its scanning path. CONSTITUTION:The ultrasonic probe 3 is scanned on the body 1 to be inspected and the ultrasonic flaw detection is performed at the respective data input positions on the scanning path. At this time, when a signal like an echo is received from the body 1 to be inspected, ultrasonic flaw detection data on the echo at this flaw detection position is held temporarily, so such trouble that a noise echo and an electric noise are also inputted as an echo signal is evaded. Then ultrasonic flaw detection data obtained at the last data input position and current data input position after movement are compared with each other and when it is decided that the signal like the echo is generated in the current ultrasonic flaw detection data nearly at the same position with the beam path length in the last ultrasonic flaw detection data, it is judged that the last echolike signal is a normal defect echo. Then, last flaw detection data on the defect echo which is held temporarily is inputted.
