Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To produce acylneuraminatecytidyltransferase, by culturing a microorganism belonging to a specific Escherichia genus and accumulating acylneuraminatecytidyltransferase in the cultured product. CONSTITUTION:A recombinant plasmid integrating chromosome DNA fragment containing acylneuraminatecytidyltransferase derived from acylneuraminatecytidyltransferase-producing bacterium belonging to the genus Escherichia is synthesized. The resultant recombinant plasmid is introduced into a microorganism belonging to the genus Escherichia to form transformed microorganism and the transformed microorganism is cultured in nutrient culture medium. Then acylneuraminatecytidyltransferase is accumulated in the cultured product and then recovered and purified to provide the acylneuraminatecytidyltransferase.
