Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To impact long-lasting anti-fogging properties to a substrate, by applying an aq. soln. consisting of polyvinylpyrrolidone and a particular reactive surfactant to the surface of a substrate of a glass, a plastic, etc., irradiating the coated substrate with electron beams in the presence of water and drying the whole. CONSTITUTION:An aq. soln. consisting of polyvinylpyrrolidone and a reactive surfactant having in its structure a polymerizable unsatd. double bond is applied to the surface of a substrate. The coated substrate is irradiated with electron beams in the presence of water, and the whole is dried. Representative examples of the reactive surfactant having in its molecule a polymerizable unsatd. double bond include compds. of formulae I and II having hydrophilic effects. The mixing ratio of the polyvinylpyrrolidone to the reactive surfactant is such that about 0.01-30pts. of the surfactant is added to 100pts. (in terms of the wt. of solid contents) of polyvinylpyrrolidone. |
