Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To enable reaction even at a low-temp. heat treatment and to improve durability by using >=2 kinds of alkoxides for a protective film. CONSTITUTION:An Ni-P plating film 2 is formed on the surface of a substrate 1 consisting of an Al-Mg alloy and a magnetic recording medium film 3 of Co-Cr is formed by the conventional method on the substrate 5 formed by working the surface of said film to a mirror face. A methanol soln. mixture prepd. by dissolving tetramethoxysilane [Si(OH3)4] and tetraethoxy zirconium [Zr(OC2 H5)4] in methanol is spin-coated on this film 3. The coating is subjected to the heat treatment for 1hr of holding time at 200 deg.C max. temp. by which the protective film 4 is formed.
