PRODUCTION OF SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE

PURPOSE:To omit a program correction even though some designing changes are given to a basic element by providing graphic data on the basic element including information that performs the optimum arrangement of the basic elements and external terminals respectively as external terminal information. CONSTITUTION:A data processing block of a logical element is formed by arranging regularly plural basic elements 7 and the prescribed external elements are allocated to those elements 7 respectively. Thus the layout is designed for the logical element. In this case, the graphic data on the elements 7 and used and the information that performs the optimum arrangement of the elements 7 and the external terminals respectively is added to said graphic data. Thus it is possible to ensure the optimum allocation of those external terminals to the elements 7 based on the graphic data. As a result, no program correction is required even though the element 7 has some designing changes.
