Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To make it possible to change over the drive mode from a two wheel drive mode into a four wheel drive mode with no affection of oil viscosity by providing a compulsorily engaging means for compulsorily engaging a free wheel mechanism upon cold engine operation. CONSTITUTION:A free-wheel mechanism 40 is always held in an engaged condition so that a differential gear casing 34 of a from wheel differential gear unit 14, a propeller shaft 6 and the like are rotated during cold engine operation in which the viscosity of oil is high, and accordingly, a rear wheel drive system and a front wheel drive system are synchronized with each other with no affection of oil temperature when a change-over from a two wheel drive mode into a four wheel drive mode is demanded, thereby it is possible to facilitate the manipulation of change-over of drive configuration in a two/four wheel drive change-over mechanism.
