Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To execute the measurement with high accuracy and with excellent responsiveness even at the time of a high speed rotation by providing an elastic body which can transmit the torque from a driving shaft side to a load shaft side. CONSTITUTION:Between the driving shaft 3 and the load shaft 8, the elastic body ring 5 of a shape which is apt to be deformed in the radial direction by torque is attached, and a torque sensor 6 being a non-contact type displacement gauge for measuring the deformation of the elastic body ring 5, and a position sensor 4 for detecting the position of a marker put on the driving shaft are provided. Subsequently, by inputting a signal from the torque sensor 6 to the holding device of a controller 7, and bringing it to sampling by a rotational position sensor signal from the position sensor 4, the torque signal of a prescribed point of the elastic body ring 5 corresponding to the position of the marker is extracted from the torque sensor signal. Next, this signal is stored and held, and when the value of the signal has exceeded a threshold level, an overload signal is outputted, and also, based on its output signal, the torque load is released. In such a way, the measurement can be executed with high accuracy and with excellent responsiveness.
