Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To obtain sufficient photosensitivity and gradation of steep gradient by adopting the combination of a matured compd. of sulfur and a gold compd. of specific compsn. for a silver halide emulsion substantially consisting of silver chloride at the time of subjecting the emulsion to gold/sulfur maturation. CONSTITUTION: The color photogrpahic silver halide material contains at least one of blue photosensitive layers combined with yellow couplers, at least one of green photosensitive layers combined with magenta couplers and at least one of red photosensitive layers combined with cyan couplers. At least one layers contg. the silver halide of the material consist of silver chloride occupying 95 to 100mol% or the silver halide. The silver halide thereof consists of the combination of the least one matured compd. of sulfur and at least the compd. corresponding to the formula. As a result, the color photographic silver halide material having the sufficient photosensitivity and gradation of a steep gradient in all the color layers is obtd.
