METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PICTURE TRANSMISSION

PURPOSE:To transmit both a dynamic picture and a still picture at high vertical resolution by looping back the high frequency component of vertical spatial frequency to the high frequency component of horizontal spatial frequency, and performing scan conversion by giving the band limitation of only a vertical direction to the looped back signal. CONSTITUTION:A transmitting part A consists of a pre-processing part A1 and a sequential skip converting part A2, and a receiving part B consists of a skip sequential converting part B1 and an after-processing part B2. The pre- processing part A1 consists of a preamplifier 1 and a sampling circuit 2 to sample the output of said preamplifier 1 by a line offset carrier, and the sequential skip converting part A2 consists of a limiting filter 3 to limit the output of the sampling circuit 2 into the vertical direction, and a scan converter 4. The skip sequential converting part B1 of the receiving part B consists of an interpolating filter 6 and the scan converter 7, and the after-processing part B2 consists of the sampling circuit 8 and a post filter 9.
