Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a fixing liquid making rapid fixing possible and excellent in fixing effect, by containing formaldehyde, methanol, citric acid, an alkali metal salt and water as a solvent. CONSTITUTION:A fixing liquid contains formaldehyde, methanol, citric acid, an alkali metal salt and water as a solvent. In the pref. form of the mixing liquid, as an alkali metal salt of citric acid, sodium citrate can be used. In a further pref. form, formaldehyde can be mixed as deodorized formalin containing a masking agent or neutral formalin. The penetration force of methanol added to formalin is added to that of formalin to increase the penetration and fixing speeds of the fixing liquid as a whole, and citric acid and the alkali metal salt improve the fixing effect of the cell membrane.
