AIR PREHEATER FOR STIRLING ENGINE

PURPOSE:To facilitate manufacture and assembly by arranging a plurality of cylinderical bodies between the upper and lower flanges and forming a preheater unit by arranging each wave-shaped fin in the cylinder inner space and cylinder opposed outside space and arranging a plurality of preheater units around a combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:A number of cylindrical bodies 31 are penetration-fitted in arranged state in one horizontal row, in the upper and lower flanges 29 and 30, and the upper and lower opened port edges are a little projected outside from the flanges 29 and 30. A wave-shaped fin 32 having undulation in the longitudinal direction is fitted into the inside space 46 of each cylindrical body 31, and fixed through brazing, etc. A proper interval 38 is set in the lateral direction between the cylindrical bodies 31, and a wave-shaped fin 33 is arranged similarly in an outside opposed outside space 38. An exhaust gas taking-in port 36 and a taking-out port 37 are formed in the upper and lower parts by attaching cover plates 34 and 35 on the front and rear outside edge surfaces of the cylindrical body 31, and a preheater 28 in unit form is constitute, and a number of preheaters 28 are arranged around the combustion chamber of a Stirling engine.
