Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To simply realize a color display of a high quality being free from an uneven display by combining a polarizing plate and two kinds of guest-host liquid crystal cells in which the wavelength of transmission light is different, in a fluorescent display part having two light emitting parts whose light emitting characteristics are different. CONSTITUTION:The title device is provided with a fluorescent display part 101 having a first light emitting part for emitting the light beams containing first and second wavelength light beams and a second light emitting part for emitting a third wavelength light beam, and first and second guest-host liquid crystal cells 103, 104 for allowing only the first and the second wavelength light beams to transmit through in the first state, and allowing a white light beam to transmit through in a second state. Also, said device is provided with a polarizing plate 102 provided between a first and second guest-host liquid crystal cells 103, 104 and the fluorescent display part 101, and driving control parts 111, 112 for driving selectively the first and the second guest-host liquid crystal cells 103, 104 to the first state during a driving period of the first light emitting part, and also, driving the first and the second guest-host liquid crystal cells 103, 104 to the second state during a driving period of the second light emitting part. In such a way, a uniform full color display can be realized by a simple structure.
