TIMER OPERATION CONTROL METHOD FOR AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE:To enable the execution of timely and energy-saving operation, by a method wherein, when timer operation is effected in an air conditioner so that the room temperature is regulated to a set value at a set time, the length of the preliminary operation time is changed according to the magnitude of a set air capacity of a blower on the indoor side. CONSTITUTION:An indoor air temperature and an outdoor air temperature are measured 60 minutes before a time at which a time attains a set value. Based on the measuring result, in the case of cooling, the air temperature is divided into regions C1-C3, and during heating, it is divided into H1-H3 regions. During cooling operation, according to air capacity of a blower on the indoor side, a timer is decided such that in the case of the region C1, high is effected for 5 minutes, medium for 10 minutes, and low for 15 minutes; in the case of the region C2, high for 10 minutes; medium for 15 minutes; and low for 20 minutes; while in the case of the region C3, high for 20 minutes, medium for 25 minutes, and low for 30 minutes. Operation of an air conditioner is started only at respective times before a set time. Similarly, in the case of heating operation, according to air capacity of a blower on the indoor side, a preliminary operation time is decided according to the regions H1-H3, and operation of the air conditioner is started.
