Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To enable the power regenerative-braking of a high power factor and a high power regeneration rate to be performed, by commutating alternating current with the power commutation of AC voltage while the AC voltage is great and with forcible commutation due to a capacitor after the AC voltage is made less, at the time of the inverter operation of a thyristor bridge. CONSTITUTION:To the respective secondary windings of a main transformer 2, the series circuit of a thyristor bridge composed of turn-OFF thyristors, a counter parallel thyristor circuit, and a capacitor is connected. At the time of the regenerative braking of DC motors 8, power commutation due to AC voltage is performed while the AC voltage is great. In the meantime, when the AC voltage is made less, then forcible commutation is performed with voltage generated by capacitor charging current. As a result, the phase of starting commutation can be delayed, and the power regenerative-braking of a high power factor and a high power regeneration rate can be performed.
