METHOD FOR PRODUCING FASCIATED SPUN YARN

PURPOSE:To obtain a fasciated spun yarn having a high yarn tenacity and low coefficient of variation thereof, by arranging a pair of assistant rollers in which one is a roller having helical grooves on the surface thereof between a roller draft device and a false twisting device. CONSTITUTION:A sliver 1 is drafted in a draft part to form a fleece 12 having a required thickness, which is then passed through a pair of assistant rollers 8 and 8' and led to a false twisting device 9 to form a yarn 13. A helical groove is provided on the surface of the roller 8 and the fleece is brought into contact with the surface of the roller 8 at a circumferential angle within the range of 5-90 deg., preferably 15-75 deg. to apply regular and strong fasciation to the yarn 13.
