Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To carry out sure transmission, by providing a linking means for actuating a tension pulley in the direction to increase tension applied to a transmission belt with decreasing wheel base between a driving shaft and an input shaft. CONSTITUTION:A tension pulley 5 is pivoted on the tip of a steering arm 16 mounted in a rotatable state around a vertically directing shaft center (X3) in a case (4A) of a mower 4. The other end of a linking rod 18 rotatably engaged with one (9a) of links 9 is rotatably engaged at the tip of an operating piece 17. The operating arm 16 is rotated in counterclockwise direction through the linking rod 18 in a state of the downwardly rotated link (9a) in lowering the mower 4 to apply tension to a transmission belt 13.
