Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To simplify the process and to save the consumable energy by soaking a hot rolled wire rod, forming as ring-state, air-cooling, piling as coil-state in slow cooling pot and slow-cooling under the specific condition. CONSTITUTION:Temp. of the hot rolled wire rod 1 just after passing the last rolling stand 2 is measured with a thermometer 3 and cooled with a water cooling device 4 so as to come to about 750-900 deg.C and formed as ring-state with a laying head 7. The temp. of the ring-state wire rod 1' is returned up through carrying conveyor 6 and measured with a thermometer 5 and the wire rod ring 1' made to uniform temp. at an outlet side of the carrying conveyor 6 is dropped into the slow cooling pot 10 and piled to make the coil 8. When the wire rod 1 by one coil quantity is packed as the coil 8, by descending a bottom plate 12, the slow cooling pot 10 is put on a turn table 25. At the time of putting plural slow cooling pots 10 on the turn table 25, the slow cooling pots 10 are carried to a temporary stock yard with a carriage and slow-cooled from the temp. range of 750-900 deg.C to at least 500 deg.C at 0.1-0.01 deg.C/sec cooling velocity.
