METHOD FOR STRIPPING SURFACE OF CONCRETE STRUCTURE

PURPOSE:To obviate leakage of dust to the outside and to effectively recover the dust so as to prevent pollution by stripping the surface of a concrete structure with a chipping machine and vacuum-sucking the stripped dust by means of a hood covering the periphery of the chipping machine. CONSTITUTION:An operator brings a dust collecting cover 6 into pressurized contact with the surface of a wall W by gripping a stripping device A and a operates the chipping machine 5 to strip the surface of the wall W to a prescribed thickness. Then, the dust generated by the stripping, e.g., pollutants are guided through the dust collecting cover 6 and a dust collecting hose H1 into a dust collector B. A negative pressure is generated by the suction pressure of a blower device C and the dust is directly guided into the dust collector or the dust caught between the meshes of a brush is sucked by the air pressure admitted between the meshes at a high speed into the dust collecting cover 6. The brush scraps and sucks the dust sticking to the wall surface after chipping when the dust collector A moves. The inflow air pressure blows off the dust sticking to the wall surface, thus improving the dust collecting effect.
