PRODUCTION OF AMINOPIPERIDINE DERIVATIVE

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound being an intermediate raw material useful as a light stabilizer for high polymer compound in one process, by subjecting 4-oxo-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine used as a raw material to reductive amination using dimethylamine and hydrogen. CONSTITUTION:4-Oxo-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine used as a raw material is subjected to reductive amination with dimethylamine and hydrogen, especially at hydrogen pressure of ordinary pressure - 2atm. pressure to provide the aimed compound. As the dimethylamine, salt thereof can be also used and used amount thereof is in the range of 1-10mol., preferably 1.5-3mol. based on the above-mentioned raw material. As the catalyst, platinum oxide is preferably used and used amount thereof is 0.2-10wt.%, preferably 0.5-2wt.% based on the above-mentioned raw material. The reaction temperature is in the range of ambient temperature - 100 deg.C. The used solvent is preferably alcohols.
