Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body high in sensitivity by using a vapor deposited film of oxytitanyl phthalocyanine high in sensitivity to light in the wavelength region of 600-800nm including laser and LED beams and excellent in electrophotographic characteristics. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is obtained by vapor depositing on a conductive substrate drum made of aluminum, oxytitanyl phthalocyanine purified by sublimation in a vacuum of 10-10Torr at a temperature of 300-600 deg.C in a thickness of 10-300nm, then dipping it in methanol at 25-40 deg.C for 1-10sec, and drying it to form an electric charge generating layer, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic sensitive body to be lowered in light transmittance in the wavelength region of 600-800nm by the transformation of the crystal in methanol, to have a peak at a Bragg angle of near 27 deg. in the X-ray diffraction of the crystal structure and to be especially adapted to printers for use in computers.
