Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To form a top board free from warping due to a temperature change and moisture absorption, by forming a plate-like surface portion and a frame portion by the use of synthetic resins having high chemical and weather resistance into an integral construction to form a base for a laboratory table and arranging a plurality of said bases in one plane. CONSTITUTION:A base 1 of a top board for use in a laboratory table is formed in such a way that a plate-like surface portion 1a and a frame portion 1b disposed around the surface portion 1a are formed into an integral construction using synthetic resins having high chemical and weather resistance (e.g., epoxy resin containing fillers such as quartz powder etc.). A plurality of said bases 1 are arranged in one plane to make up a board 4 for a laboratory table. As a result, a base of a top board and a top board for use in a laboratory table are provided, which are of simple construction, easy to manufacture, making thereby assembly work simple and precise at an installation site, and further free from warping due to a change in the temperature or humidity and have high chemical and weather resistance.
