Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide the above dope composed of a polymer consisting of a specific constitution unit and a solvent, having excellent flow birefringence, easily taking highly oriented state in molding and capable of giving a molded polyimide article having excellent heat-resistance and mechanical properties. CONSTITUTION:The objective dope is composed of (A) a polymer consisting of a constituent unit of formula (R1 and R2 are groups selected from 1-18C aliphatic hydrocarbon residue or its derivative, hydrocarbon residue containing 6-18C aromatic ring or its derivative and hydrocarbon residue containing 6-18C aliphatic ring or its derivative; R3 is at least one kind of aromatic diamine residue having chain extension bond extended coaxially or nearly coaxially or in antiparallel direction or its derivative) and (B) a solvent capable of forming a high-concentration solution of the component A having a concentration of >=10%. Preferably, the component A has an intrinsic viscosity of >=1.0 and the component B is concentrated sulfuric acid of >=98wt.% concentration or methanesulfonic acid.
