DEVICE FOR CORRECTING WEAR AMOUNT OF BRUSH IN CENTERLESS BRUSHING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To detect and correct the wear amount of a brush in a short time by providing a brush feeder for shifting a brush support bed toward an adjusting wheel with the operation of a brush wear amount detecting photosensor and a sensor feeder interlocked with the support bed to shift the sensor support bed in the peripheral direction. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam is projected from a projector 21 of a photosensor 20 toward the blade portion of a roll brush 9 to detect the wear amount of roll brush 9 on the basis of light receiving amount in a light receiver section 22. The signal detected by said section is input in a control section which outputs an operation signal to a brush feeder 31 when the brush wear amount exceeds a certain set amount to shift the roll brush 9 toward the adjusting wheel 3 side to a position where the blade wear amount is compensated for while maintaining the parallelism. A sensor feeder 40 interlocked with said shift is operated to shift a sensor support bed 18 by two times the shift of roll brush 9 in the same direction and automatically locate said bed in a predetermined detecting position relative to the roll brush 9.
