WEAK ACIDIC OIL-IN-WATER TYPE EMULSIFIED COSMETIC

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled cosmetic, containing a higher fatty acid salt, colloidal hydrous silicate and further a compound selected from aldonic acid and aldonolactone and having excellent usability and emulsion stability. CONSTITUTION:The titled cosmetic containing a higher fatty acid salt (preferably Na, K and triethanolamine salt) expressed by formula I (R is 11-21C straight-chain or branched alkyl or alkenyl; M is alkaline metal, ammonium, alkanolamine, etc.), a colloidal hydrous silicate (e.g. montmorillonite) and further one or two or more selected from aldonic acid (preferably gluconic acid) and aldonolactone (preferably glucono-delta-lactone) expressed by formula Il (n is >=3). This cosmetic is capable of exhibiting the same weak acidity as that of skin surface and simultaneously has excellent emulsion stability. The aldonic acid, etc., are preferably dissolved in water and added before previous emulsification from aspects of preventing smell from changing.
