Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To obtain a disposable cold storage body by a method wherein at least two kinds of water absorbing high polymer agents different in water absorbing rate are wrapped and held in a bag formed into a sheet-shaped body and at least a part of the bag is made of a water permeable material. CONSTITUTION: In this disposable cold storage body, at least for two kinds of water absorbing high polymer agents different in water absorbing rate are wrapped and held in a bag formed into a sheet-shaped body, and at least a part of the bag is made of a water permeable material. The disposable cold storage body is immersed and held in normal temperature water or a normal temperature saline solution for several minutes and the water absorbing high polymer agents contact the water or the saline solution to be swelled absorbing water. Then, the cold storage body is frozen for several ten hours at about -20 deg.C in a refrigerator to be used for an object to be desired to reserve cold. This prevents water from flowing outside the cold storage body during the thawing period in the application process, hence causing no damage fouling it. The water permeable material herein used is nonwoven fiber, an open cell resin sheet, an adhesive sheet impregnated with activated charcoal, fibrous activated charcoal or the like. The non-water permeable material herein used is preferably a nylon/polyester laminated film viewed from strength and economic aspects.
