LUBRICATING OIL WEIGHING EQUIPMENT FOR ENGINE

PURPOSE:To prevent insufficient lubricating oil supply by actuating a control cam, which regulates the discharge of a lubricating oil feed pump, by means of an electric actuator and exercising either feedback control over this actuator if the discharge is to be increased or open control if the discharge is to be decreased. CONSTITUTION:An air intake passage 9 and a discharge passage 10 are connected to an air-intake port 7 and a discharge port 8, both of which are open to a casing 1 of a rotary engine, respectively. A port oiling nozzle 13, which supplies lubricating oil, is arranged in the air-intake passage 9, while a direct, oiling nozzle 14 is arranged at a position facing a working chamber 5a that is at the suction stroke in a rotor housing 2. Each nozzle 13 or 14 is oiled through a metalling oil pump 15 whose discharge can be made variable by regulating the position of a control cam by using an electric actuator 29. In this case, when the control cam is to be moved in the discharge-increasing direction, feedback control is exercised over this electric actuator 29, while open control is exercised when the control cam is to be moved in the discharge- decreasing direction.
