PURPOSE:To obtain a hair tonic cosmetic, capable of promoting peripheral bloodstream of the scalp, activating a hair-matrix cell and excellent in hair growth and preventing effects on alopecia and dandruff by blending an extract of a weeping golden bell known as an antidotal, a drainage, an antiphlogistic and a diuretic agent therein. CONSTITUTION:The hair tonic cosmetic is obtained by blending an extract of a weeping golden bell which is an ingredient extracted from a fruit of Forsythia suspensa Vahl. and Forsythia viridissima Lindl. native to China or Forsythia koreana Nakai native to the Korean Peninsula of the family Oleaceae with an extracting solvent therein. Oleanolic acid which is a triterpenoid, phillyrin, pinoresinol, arctiin, etc., which are lignans, forsythosidae A, etc., which are caffeic acid derivatives are cited as the extracted ingredient. A 10-90% aqueous solution of ethanol is preferred as the extracting solvent. This hair tonic cosmetic can be formulated into a hair tonic, a hair lotion, a hair cream, a hair conditioner, a shampoo, a rinse, a hair gel, a hair mist, a hair foam, etc.
