Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of an electrolyte due to heating by providing a passage of the cooling reaction gas flowing in the opposite direction to the oxidant gas between a cathode gas passage perpendicular to an anode gas passage and a separator and between the current collectors of an anode and a cathode on both sides of an electrolyte plate and the separator, and making an inner reaction catalyst larger on the inlet side than on the outlet side. SOLUTION: An anode electrode 2 and a cathode electrode 4 are arranged on both sides of an electrolyte plate 1, and an anode gas passage 7 and a cathode gas passage 8 where the fuel gas 9A and the oxidant gas 9B flow in the orthogonal directions are provided between current collectors and a separator 6. The cooling reaction gas GC in a cooling gas passage 11 having an inlet 11A and an outlet 11B corresponding to the outlet 8B and inlet 8A of the cathode gas passage 8 suppresses the temperature rise of the oxidant gas 9B flowing from the inlet 8A toward the outlet 8B. The catalyst quantity on a corrugated sheet in the cooling gas passage 11 is decreased from the inlet 11A toward the outlet 11B, heat is largely absorbed from the cooling reaction gas GC on the inlet 11A side, and its temperature is further lowered.
