Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve prediction of the load share characteristics of a transmission belt, such as a toothed belt, and to perform prediction of a belt life based on load sharing characteristics. CONSTITUTION:In a multishaft transmission analyzing model to perform transmission in such a state that a toothed belt 3 is run around and between a plurality of toothed pulleys 1 and 1, geometric data containing at least the diameter and the central position of each pulley 1, the numbers of teeth, the pitches of tooth, and the tooth shape sizes of the pulleys 1 and the belt 3, material data containing elastic modulus of the tension member 4 of the belt 3, the elastic modulus of a tooth part 8, and a friction factor, and external data containing load torque, an angular velocity, and a shaft load are inputted and load share characteristics exerted on the belt 3 are predicted through analysis of a finite element. Further, the tooth part reaction distribution characteristics thereof are collated and compared with an S-N curve wherein durability life characteristics are preset according to tooth part reaction analysis distribution to predict a life for the actually working belt 3.
