Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise the temperature of a catalyst converter to catalyst activation temperature with low electric power in a short time. SOLUTION: A catalyst converter main body 10 formed by stacking a corrugated plate material 1 and a flat plate material 2 is housed in an outer cylinder 3 to form a catalyst converter 100. The corrugated plate material 1 and the flat plate material 2 are joined at their edge parts 11, 12 in the upstream position 201 of the main body 10 to form a joint part 41. Each joint part is arranged on the converter main body so as to form a joint region part 4, and a narrow electric current path 14 is formed at the edge 21 of the corrugated plate material 1 in the joint region part 4. When the current is carried, current is concentrated in a local current path comprising the joint part in the joint region part 4 and the current path 14, the temperature of the joint region part 4 is quickly raised and reaches catalyst activation temperature. Therefore, the temperature in the downstream position is sequentially raised by catalyst reaction heat, and catalyst reaction is produced, and the temperature in the whole device is raised in a short time. |
