Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a new modified xylylenediamine composition for producing plastics by reacting xylylenediamine with an unsaturated compound such as an acrylic acid ester and converting amino group in the diamine into secondary amino groups. CONSTITUTION:A new modified xylylenediamine composition is obtained by subjecting xylylenediamine and an unsaturated compound (e.g. n-butyl acrylate or 2-ethylhexyl acrylate) expressed by the formula CH2=C(R)-Y (R is H or methyl; Y is electron attractive group) to the Michael addition reaction and modifying the xylylenediamine (i.e., converting amino group in the xylylenediamine into secondary amino group). A neutral or acidic esterifying catalyst is preferably used in the Michael addition reaction.
