Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a base station to surely control the operation of a selective calling receiver by bringing an operating state of a receiver into a different operating state when an individual address corresponding to the receiver is not received for a prescribed period. SOLUTION: When transmission of an A address of a base station is inhibited due to nonpayment or the like and 30 days elapse, the pager cannot accept the B address automatically and receive the sub service. When the power supply is interrupted, the count of an elapsed day number count section 41 is stopped, but the count of the elapsed day number is incremented by one at application of power, when this is repeated for 30 times, a state of the B address display disable is reached. Since the display of a common message is inhibited when an individual address is not received for a prescribed period, the operating state of the pager is controlled resultingly without positive control such as transmission of maintenance data from the base station. Moreover, control is attained independently of whether or not maintenance data are processed. |
