PURPOSE:To provide a soil and sand separating device which can lessen the occurrence of low frequency noise or vibration. CONSTITUTION:A soil and sand device is provided with a frame body 21 fitted with the screens 1, 3 and 4 capable of separating the soil and sand having a predetermined particle size in diameter from the other and with a frame body 23 fitted with a plate-like body 22 capable of collecting the liquid mud which has passed through the screen 1 disposed near the screens 1, 3 and 4, and such frame bodies 21 and 23 are supported by predetermined elastic members 24 and 25 independently of each other. The first frame body 21 and the second frame body 23 are provided with a first exciter 6 and a second exciter 26, respectively, and a control part is provided to control the second exciter 26 so as to vibrate the plate-like body 22 with substantially the same frequency as the screens 1, 3 and 4 and in antiphase relationship thereto.
