Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reclaiming method by which aliphatic hydrocarbons that have high utility values can be obtained from crosslinked cover materials at high yields and a recovery method for recovering high-quality conductors from crosslinked-polyethylene wire. SOLUTION: A crosslinked-polyethylene wire is heated between 250 deg.C and 550 deg.C in an inert gas atmosphere to thermally decompose the crosslinked polyethylene to obtain a decomposition product. The decomposition product is refined and separated into oil and/or wax components for reclaiming. The conductors left behind are recovered.
