PURPOSE:To shorten the depth of a switchboard by arranging a first face being made of a row of breakers in height direction and the second face being made by a bus in such a way that they cross each other at right angles. CONSTITUTION:The load unit 11 being the principal unit of a distribution unit is partitioned into two compartments 41 and 60, and a breaker 9 is arranged horizontally inside the compartment 41, and besides, a breaker unit 30 to accommodate the breaker 9 is installed in height direction. The face made by a three-phase bus 24 and the face made by the breaker unit 30 cross each other at right angles. And, the bus 24 and the breaker 9 are detachably connected directly without using a connection conductor by the contact mounted to the breaker 9. The load cable electrically to be connected to an insulated conductor 50 is taken out of the upside of a switchboard, with an upper distribution unit, and is taken out of the downside of the switchboard, with a lower distribution unit. Hereby, the depth of the switchboard can be made small.
