Zusammenfassung:NEW MATERIAL:A functional peptide of formula I (C277 is a sequence of formula II exhibiting a 277 amino acid polypeptide residue corresponding to the Pro -Ser of the cell adhesion domain of human fibronectin; X is methionyl- alanine residue; (n) is 1, 0; EGF is a sequence of formula III exhibiting the amino acid residue of human epidermal growth factor). USE:A wound and ulcer curing agent having a cell adhesion activity and a cell growth acceleration activity. PREPARATION:For example, a DNA coding a polypeptide of formula II having the cell adhesion activity of human fibronectin(FN) and a polypeptide of formula III having the cell growth acceleration activity of human epidermal growth factor(FGF), respectively, are prepared and then combined with a suitable vector to form a recombined plasmid, which is inserted into a host such as Escherichia coli. The transformed host is cultured to prepare the polypeptide.
