Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To reduce variations of electric chargeability and image density with the lapse of time and to enhance durability of a carrier by using a specified copolymer of alkyl acrylate and styrene specified in their proportion. CONSTITUTION:The surfaces of the magnetic particles are coated with a resin composed essentially of the alkyl (meth)acrylate-styrene, said alkyl being 1 - 5C, preferably, 1 - 4C and the styrene content in the copolymer being 5 - 45wt.%, preferably, 10 - 30wt.%. If the carbon number of said alkyl group is >=6, its effect cannot be obtained, and if the content of the styrene is out of said limits, the effect also cannot be obtained.
