PURPOSE:To provide the pavement allowing vehicle drivers to be warned against the wet and slippery road surface in rainy weather by scattering aggregate of high water absorption being formed of specific components. CONSTITUTION:Aggregate 3 formed of the ground pieces of natural colored rock of 2.5-3.5% in water absorption, with silicon oxide and aluminium oxide as main components is prepared. A primer 2 is previously applied to the road surface 1 of a slope, the curve spot of a road, and the like. Epoxy resin serving as binder resin 4 is applied onto the primer 2, and the aggregate 3 is scattered thereon. The excess aggregate 3 insufficiently stuck to the binder resin 4 is recovered to obtain the colored pavement. In rainy weather, the color tone of the pavement is changed to a deep color from a light color, making use of water absorbing action of the aggregate. Vehicle drivers are warned against slip by the change of this color tone.
