Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To enhance photoresponsivity and to enable compact recording and use in the photon mode by using the photomemorizing material comprising a matrix formed by polycondensing a specified metal alkoxide, and a specified photochromic compound. CONSTITUTION:This photomemorizing material comprises the matrix obtained by polycondensing at least one of the metal alkoxides represented by formulae I - VI, and at least one of the photochromic compounds each having affinity to X1 or X2 of the matrix substrate. In formulae I - VI, M1 is a trivalent metal atom; M2 is a tetravalent metal atom or the like; each of R1 - R3 is H or 1 - 6C alkyl; each of X1 and X2 is optionally substituted >=5C alkyl or such aryl, or the like, and each may combine with each other to form a cyclic structure, thus permitting the photochromic compound to be stably contained in the metal alkoxide polycondensate, and accordingly, to be high in photoresponsivity and to execute compact recording and use in the photon mode.
