Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To abolish or simplify a decelerating mechanism and a clutch mechanism, to improve performance, to lower noise and to reduce cost by providing a permanent magnet synchronous motor, which transmits rotation through a shaft to a washing and dehydrating tub, and an electro-magnetic brake which is arranged on the upper part of the motor, to link a rotary body part with the rotor of the motor. CONSTITUTION:At the time of washing, a pressing spring 7 is in a constant condition. In such a condition, when a stator coil 4d is energized, a rotor yoke 4b is rotated by mutual operation between a stator iron core 4c and a permanent magnet 4a. Further, a rotary shaft 3 coupled to the yoke and a stirring fan are rotated and the washing is executed. Next, at the time of dehydrating, when the stator coil 4d is energized, the rotary yoke 4b is rotated by the mutual operation between the stator iron core 4c and permanent magnet 4a. Further, the rotary shaft 3 coupled to the yoke and a washing and dehydrating tub is rotated. Then, the dehydrating is executed. At the time of dehydrating end, when a stator coil 5a is energized, the coil 5a is operated as the electro-magnetic brake by the mutual operation with a rotor 5c and braking force is generated to rotation.
