PURPOSE:To automatically connect tow car and a towed car by mounting a connection body provided with a connection recess opened on the side, on either the tow car or the towed car, and by mounting a vertical pin that can intrude into the connection recess, on another car. CONSTITUTION:A base end of an arm 10 extended horizontally is supported by a bracket provided on the rear part of a frame 2 of a free-running tow car 1 through a pin 11, so as to vibrate freely, while a connection body 12 provided with a connection recess 14 that penetrates vertically, is mounted on the front end of the arm 10. One side surface 15 of the connection recess 14 is opened, and the opening can be closed by a lever-like opening/closing body 18 pivotally supported by a pin 19, while the opening/closing body 18 is energized on a closed chain position by a spring 23. When the tow car 1 runs on a circle in a running route, the arm 10 is largely swung and a connection part 25 thereby collides with a pin 28 on the side of a towed car 7. The opening/closing body 18 is opened by the pin 28, which intrudes into the connection recess 14, whereby the towed car 7 is connected to the other.
