PURPOSE:To obtain from garbage the agricultural fertilizer in a condition and form easy to handle by a method wherein a crushing device consisting of a plurality of crossflow type rotary cutters disposed into external contact or proximity with each other and in parallel and three-dimensional arrangement and a compressing device consisting of a pair of rolls pressed into contact with each other, are located in a juxtaposing manner. CONSTITUTION:A square tubular treating tank 2 of a garbage disposer 1 is provided in its interior with a crushing device 3 at the nearly central part and a compressing device 4 at the lowest part and a collecting tank 6 is provided below a discharging opening 5 of the treating tank 2. Each of rotary cutters 7, 8 and 9 of the crushing device 3 is a cylindrical crossflow type wherein a number of strip-like cutting blades 12 are provided between the peripheral edges of disks 10 and 11 disposed in parallel arrangement and the compressing device 4 consists of a pair of rolls 21 and 22 pressed into contact with each other. The collecting tank 6 is a drawer type capable of being drawn out of the garbage disposer 1 and a coarse filter 29 is set inside the collecting tank 6 in a detachably attaching manner.
