PURPOSE:To increase accumulator voltage, discharge capacity and lifetime against repeated charge and discharge by filling an electrolyte at the inlet and outlet thereof after housing an accumulator element in an enclosure material, and sealing the filing port of the electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:After an accumulator element is housed in an enclosure material, an electrolyte is filled at the portion A with valves A and B kept open. Or, the electrolyte is drawn from the portion B. According to the aforesaid process, bubbles in the accumulator are all purged. Then, the valve A is closed or the portion D is sealed. Furthermore, the portion C is pressurized, thereby purging an electrolyte excess. Then the valve B is closed. Portions D and E are completely sealed, thereby preparing an accumulator. The accumulator so obtained comprises a positive electrode collector 1, a positive electrode active material 2, negative electrode collector 3, a negative electrode active material 4, a separator 5 impregnated with an electrolyte and an enclosure material 6.
