When the flow is irradiated with condensed light having an intensity gradient and emitted from a laser light source 5, the fine particles are optically trapped and stopped at the irradiated position against the flow. When a control circuit 7 appropriately sets the turning on/off time interval of the light irradiation, a desired moving interval can be given to the flow of the particles on the downstream side of the position 8.
